Comic Con: Lost Info Revealed

Unlike the Heroes panel presentation, where they delivered in full by bringing out the entire cast and airing the season premiere, the only good thing to come out of the Lost panel was a sampling of interesting tidbits and one quick clip.

The brief footage featured everybody's favorite Asian Dharma doctor, this time introducing himself as Dr. Marvin Candle. Instead of the usual scratched up black-and-white recording, the video was being shot digitally with Marvin sitting on a couch. He briefly starts off with his normal spiel, but quickly gives up and states there's no point in playing games anymore. He admits his name is Pierre Chang, and tells the people watching that they should be receiving his message roughly thirty years in the future. His message is simple: "It's imperative that the Dharma Initiative be reconstituted."

Before this clip was shown though, writer/creator Damon Lindelof and writer Carlton Cuse opened up the floor to a pretty satisfying Q&A session, yielding just the right amount of answers to get our minds puzzling over season five.

Did the island move when the hatch imploded and the sky turned purple? No.

Jin will still be on the show in some form. You haven't seen the last of these characters. "Dead is a relative term."

Rousseau's story will be shown this year.

Flashbacks? Flashforwards? How are they gonna do it? "There will still be flashbacks, but we're doing something a little different. We're mixing it up. When season five starts, you're not gonna know when or where you are." It's all about "the most compelling way to tell the story."

Daniel Faraday's journal that shows what's going to happen in the future will feature prominently in this next season.

How old is Richard Alpert, and how many toes does he have? "He is quite old. Obviously we have hinted before about time on the island..." This will remain a mystery through the season. And yes, "You will see him barefoot in the very near future."

Kate will indeed see Sawyer again (big surprise, right?).

Vincent the dog is still doing well, and will appear in season five. It's safe to say he will make it to the end of the show.
