Disney's life-size fully animatronic WALL-E (which was spotted in LA last month) has now made an appearance at the Philadelphia Science Museum. /Film Reader Peetah sent over the following:

The audio-animatronic Wall-E is apparently making the rounds to science museums and he did a stopover here in Philadelphia yesterday (publicity around these events is oddly absent there's nothing on the web to my knowledge, although I did find out the next stop was the Newseum in Washington DC). There's about a 7-10 minute scripted "show" with a host that interacts with Wall-E, asking questions such as "what do you like to collect" and "where have you been" and "you love Eve don't you" giving a brief overview of the plot of the film. To be honest our host was far from impressive reading from a clipboard and in general very awkward in his interactions, and Wall-E seemed slow to react as if the timing was off. But nonetheless the detail and fluidity of the Wall-E animatronic is impressive and honestly he's just so damn cute it doesn't matter. One side note, it does appear as though Wall-E only has a few pre-programed sounds and pre-programed positions to convey emotion so seeing him may get old after a few viewings.
