Anthony Michael Hall Cast In The Dark Knight
Dead Zone star Anthony Michael Hall has signed on to star in The Dark Knight. No word yet on what character Hall will play, but we assume that it's a some-what major player.
"I signed a confidentiality agreement, and I can't say which part I'm playing because it affects the stor. I can't give away the suspense – it's a $200 million surprise, and I don't want to be the guy to ruin it," Hall told the Daily News. "They're shooting in London, Chicago and Hong Kong. My next dates are in Chicago, the third week of August with Morgan, then I get to go back to London.""It's really a great role. I'm in throughout the whole movie, and I'm really looking forward to working with Christian and Morgan and all these real Hollywood heavy hitters."
Online fanboys have begun to speculate that since his character is in scenes with Lucius Fox, he might play a scientist-type like Dr. Kirk Langström, who in the comic book series developed an extract intended to give humans the bat's sonar sense and tested the formula on himself because he was becoming deaf. While it worked, it had a horrible side effect; transforming him gradually into a hideous human bat named Man-Bat. Others speculate that Hall could play Bruce's childhood friend from "Hush". While most people speculate that Hall is a perfect fit for the character of Edward "E." Nigma, who becomes The Riddler.
Anthony Michael Hall is best known for playing The Geek in the classic John Hughes' 80's film The Breakfast Club. Hall also starred in Weird Science and Edward Scissorhands.
