Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Gets A July Release
The final book in the Harry Potter series will be released on July 21st 2007.
Speculation has run wild over the fate of Harry Potter. JK Rowling said last year that at least two characters would die in the final book.
Shortly before the release of book 5, JK Rowling did an interview for the BBC:
BBC: So you know what is going to become of all the major characters over the span of the series?
J.K. Rowling: Yeah..yeah.
BBC: Why stop when they grow up? Might be interesting to know what becomes of Harry as an adult.
J.K. Rowling: How do you know he'll still be alive?
BBC: Oh. At the end of book seven?
J.K. Rowling: It would be one way to kill off the merchandising.
Horror author Stephen King has even asked the author to spare the boy wizard.
A film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is tentatively scheduled to hit the big screen in 2010.
