2014 is coming to a close, which means there are only a few more days left in the 35th anniversary of Ridley Scott's Alien. We recently pronounced the sci-fi masterpiece the director's best film and there weren't many arguments about that. Not only did the film create a star and a franchise, it set the standard for what sci-fi horror could be. The film's designs and environments set a standard for what fans could expect from other films. Visually, Alien is just about as iconic as a movie can be.
