It’s safe to say we’ve probably had enough dystopian sci-fi films where people are forced to compete, train or play some kind of dangerous game in order to survive while a higher power oversees their struggle as a display of authority. The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Maze Runner have all tapped into this trend, mostly thanks to the success of thee young adult books on which they’re based. But it seems like audiences may be getting tired of them.
That hasn’t stopped another attempt at bringing the concept to life, but this time with a bit of an older cast at the center of the story. Andron follows a group of men and women in the distant future who wake up in a dark maze with no idea who they are while Alec Baldwin is the man who controls the various challenges and dangers they face.
