We know that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany is one of several actresses reading for a leading role in Gareth Edwards‘ Star Wars Standalone movie. Now, a rumor has popped up via Total Geeks that she has landed the role. The Mary Sue agrees. Nothing is officially until StarWars.com says so but, this would be awesome.
Latino Review‘s latest Star Wars column has a pretty big potential revelation about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A very popular alien race, one not yet discussed in most talk around the film, will reportedly appear in the film. Don’t want to spoil it here, so head to that link to find out more.

Star Wars 7 News points out a fun fact about the original Star Wars. This page from J.W. Rinzler‘s Making of Book reveals that J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan may have taken the title for “The Force Awakens” from an early script Lucas wrote -or just borrowed the concept. Either way, pretty cool.
