"Supernatural" came to an end just last year, so there's never been a better time to binge through the Winchester saga. The series follows brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) on the hunt for all the monstrous creatures threatening humanity. The monster-of-the-week style show is pretty solid for jumping in and out of, especially since there's so much of it to get through. What is Supernatural About?
The title says it all. I mean, not really — this show is incredibly long and veers into some crazy, oddly specific territory. There's no way to prepare you for some of the wilder moments, like the suicidal teddy bear or the Paris Hilton pagan god subplot but here's the basics: "Supernatural" follows brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester as they travel the country hunting demons, ghosts, and other supernatural monsters. Along the way they befriend Angel of the Lord Castiel (Misha Collins) and occasionally team up with the King of Hell (Mark Sheppard). Each season sees them attempting to take down an insanely powerful big bad and losing many battles along the way. But brotherhood, friendship and sheer force of will keep them in the fight.
Where To Stream Supernatural
If you're buckling down to watch all of "Supernatural," you best clear your schedule. The series spans a whole 15 seasons and since it dates all the way back to the pre-streaming era, most seasons cap off at around 22 episodes. The series premiered back in 2005, on the Warner Bros Television Network (The WB), back when that still existed. Once it ceased operations back in 2006, "Supernatural" became part of The CW lineup, where it remained until its series conclusion in November of 2020. The finale caused quite a stir on the internet, but no spoilers as to why — it's the sort of thing you have to experience for yourself.
