"Secrecy" is the word of the day in this edition of Star Wars Bits. Below, find out how two different stars are handling it, and learn hints of several things shrouded in secrecy, as well as the following:

  • The animated series Star Wars Detours might come out later this year.
  • The Star Wars Rebels finale is a "home run."
  • Domhnall Gleeson talks Star Wars: The Force Awakens secrecy.
  • The cast of Girls has tried to make Adam Driver spill Force Awakens secrets.
  • Read the first few pages of Marvel's Star Wars #1.
  • So, exactly how do you pronounce "Poe Dameron?"
  • See an official, Japanese Star Wars banner.
  • "Tri-Wing Fighter" concept art from The Force Awakens described.
  • In mid-2012, Lucasfilm announced an animated comedy series called Star Wars Detours. Fans were puzzled by the show, created by Seth Green and Matt Senreich of Robot Chicken. However, once Disney purchased the franchise, the show was put on a shelf. Now, JediNews is reporting Lucasfilm has filed some new trademarks that suggest the show might see the light of day this summer, possibly at Star Wars Celebration. You can see the trademarks at the link and watch that amazing first trailer below.

The first season of Star Wars Rebels isn't quite over yet, but it's getting there. Actress Vanessa Marshall, the voice of Hera, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the role and had this comment on the final episode:

The season finale took my breath away. Just reading it on the page I hyperventilated. It's just, bam! It's a home run. Bam! It's so good. I cannot wait to see how they animate it. I haven't seen it animated. It's so good. It will not disappoint.

In his young career, Domhnall Gleeson has done a few big movies: multiple Harry Potter films, Never Let Me Go, Dredd, True Grit, etc. But according to him, the level of secrecy surrounding his work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens demolishes them all. He said the following talking to the Radio Times, via Making Star Wars.

I would say it's the most secrecy I've had to work with, just because you have to sign so many things. I don't even talk about it – I'm not even afraid I'll let anything slip anymore, I'm just aware that it's actually boring, because I know the answer is I can't talk about it....Once I got to set, the way JJ was working and the love, the genuine love for Star Wars that was everywhere on set – it made me want to protect those secrets. It wasn't like I was contractually obligated to keep them.

Adam Driver is on the same page. At the premiere of this new season of Girls, MTV asked Driver's co-stars if he's willing to spill secrets to The Force Awakens. He apparently "gets off" on not sharing. Watch the funny video below.

Frankly, I'm pretty surprised we haven't seen a Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser poster yet. It feels like the right time to get that thing out there. Nevertheless, it seems like Lucasfilm has began marketing the film other than the trailer. Star Wars Influences host Paul Bateman (via SW Underground) tweeted out the below image from a Japanese subway.

    Star Wars Japan banner

A writer on contacted Lucasfilm who told him the banner is "local market promotion" for Star Wars in general and not an official poster for the movie.

Finally, Making Star Wars describes a new piece of concept art detailing a few possible variations on what they call a "Tri-Wing Fighter." If true, it's an extremely interesting description, with details that sound unlike anything we've seen in Star Wars before. Read the potentially spoiler filled description at the link.
