'Hungry Hearts' Trailer: Adam Driver Fears His Son Is Being Slowly Murdered
We all know that Adam Driver co-stars on Girls and that he'll be in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (And that he was so great in a small role in Inside Llewyn Davis last year, too.) But there's a Driver performance most of us haven't had a chance to see yet, and it is one for which he and his co-star are winning accolades. In Hungry Hearts, Driver and Alba Rohrwacher play a young couple who "engage in a fateful struggle over the life of their newborn child." If that sounds like some Roman Polanski sorta-atmosphere, that's what we got out of the Hungry Hearts trailer, too. Check it out below.
Saverio Costanzo writes and directs the psychological drama. This past fall, Driver and Rohrwacher won the Best Actor and Actress awards in Venice for their work in the film. This is a good trailer that layers in sound as it shows conflict beginning to escalate, but we still have a lot to learn about the film.
IFC will release Hungry Hearts in the US, but we don't have a date yet. Trailer via YouTube.
A young married couple in New York City engage in a fateful struggle over the life of their newborn child, in this eerie, claustrophobic suspense drama from Italian director Saverio Costanzo.
