Halloween is nearly upon us and the annual Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights have begun to announce some of their high-end haunted mazes. Every year, famous properties get turned into interactive mazes aimed to scare park attendees both in Florida and California and this year, there will be mazes or areas based on An American Werewolf in London, The Walking Dead, From Dusk Till Dawn, Dracula Untold, Alien vs. Predator, Face Off and The Purge Anarchy. Below, we'll give you info on some of the biggest news surrounding Halloween Horror Nights 2014.

While The American Werewolf in London maze was in Orlando last year, this year it moves to Hollywood. Other than that, all of the above attractions will be at both locations. Here's a video teasing that attraction.

As for the other properties, Dracula Untold "will introduce guests to the sadistic Transylvanian ruler Vlad Tepes, known as 'Vlad the Impaler,' who infamously tortured his enemies by impaling them alive with a wooden stake and suspending their bodies. The foreboding maze will also shed an ominous light on the one-time hero, turned blood-thirsty-tyrant, who chose to embrace unholy powers in order to defeat his enemies. 'Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood' will spiral guests through Dracula's eternal damnation, where the thirst for blood is never-ending." Read the full press release at Inside Universal.

As for The Purge Anarchy, there won't be a full maze. It'll be the theme of multiple "scare zones" where streets are transformed to look like those terrible 12 hours where anything is legal. Read more at the Hollywood Reporter.

Both Horror nights attractions open on September 19 and remain through November 1. For more information, visit the official site. Also, if you're going to Universal Hollywood hoping to take advantage of their lucrative season pass benefits, those are changing.
