'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Super Bowl Teaser And Posters

It costs a jaw-dropping $4 million dollars to get a 30-second spot in the Super Bowl. Can you blame studios, then, for wanting to make the most of their purchase by hyping up the ads in advance? Marvel Studios has released a brief teaser for their latest Captain America: The Winter Soldier promo, which will debut during the big game on Sunday.

Additionally, the studio has unveiled a couple of new posters featuring the film's main characters. Check 'em all out after the jump.

If this teaser is any indication, the ad will heavily emphasize action over character. There isn't even any dialogue in these scenes, just lots of explosions and concerned looks. That ought to play well in the middle of a tense, exciting game.

The new posters put Cap (Chris Evans) front and center, with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) trailing him and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) even further behind. The only big difference between these two posters is that Captain America has his helmet on in one. Oh, and speaking of helmets, we also have a new character poster for Captain America that shows him with headgear on.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4Joe and Anthony Russo directed.

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy–the Winter Soldier.
