'The Other Woman' Trailer: Kate Upton, Cameron Diaz, And Leslie Mann Vs. Jaime Lannister
Facing the vengeance of not one, not two, but three women scorned would probably be pretty rough on most men. But after everything Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been through as Jaime Lannister on this past season of Game of Thrones, some hormonal sabotage, a bit of professional betrayal, and a swift kick to the balls should seem like a walk in the park.
The Other Woman stars Coster-Waldau as a charmer with an oblivious wife (Leslie Mann) and at least two equally uninformed mistresses (Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton). But when the three ladies catch wind of what's going on, they decide to team up to exact their revenge on him. Nicki Minaj and Taylor Kinney also star. Watch the trailer after the jump.
The premise of The Other Woman feels kind of stale, but the cast makes the movie a bit more enticing. Diaz and Mann can be hilarious, given the right material, and seem to be having a blast here. Likewise, Coster-Waldau seems to be enjoying the change of pace from the gloom and doom of Westeros. And Upton and Nicki Minaj aren't really famous for their acting, but that's part of the fun, too. Based on the trailer, at least, they seem to do just fine.
In all, The Other Woman doesn't really look worth rushing to the theater for. It does, however, look kinda perfect for those Friday nights when you're just looking for a minor distraction to put on in the background while you groom your cat or send some emails.
The Other Woman opens April 25, 2014. Nick Cassavetes directed.
After discovering her boyfriend is married, a woman (Cameron Diaz) tries to get her ruined life back on track. But when she accidentally meets the wife he's been cheating on (Leslie Mann), she realizes they have much in common, and her sworn enemy becomes her greatest friend. When yet another affair is discovered (Kate Upton), all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on their cheating, lying, three-timing SOB.
