Donal Logue Believes There's A "Realistic Chance" Of A 'Terriers' Revival
There has never been a better time to be a beloved but cancelled TV series. This year saw Arrested Development returning for a fourth season and the long-promised Veronica Mars movie entering production, while Fox put together plans for the limited sequel series 24: Live Another Day.
In that light, it makes sense that the folks behind Terriers, the brilliant but fatally underseen FX mystery series, are sounding more and more optimistic about a possible movie sequel. This week, star Donal Logue mentioned what he believes are the "realistic" chances of a Terriers revival. Hit the jump to read his comments.
chance of terriers movie (we talk about it) ted griffin dreams of netflix or someone picking it back up (better as series than a film)
He later added in response to another question, "realistic chance of some kind of terriers revival- yes."
Producer Shawn Ryan has been talking up the idea of a Kickstarter-funded Terriers sequel for some time now. Veronica Mars' success only seemed to encourage him further, as he tweeted soon afterward that their strategy "could be a model for a Terriers wrap up film." However, there hasn't been any major progress as of yet.
Oh, and for anyone still mulling over the cliffhanger from the series finale, Logue has a definite answer about what happened next. (Spoilers ahead.) When the show left off, Hank was driving Britt to prison, but the pair were talking about the possibility of making a run for the border. However, Logue says there's no question of what choice they eventually made: "britt went to prison- had to go down like that."
Discuss: Do you want to see a Terriers sequel, or would you rather they just leave it alone? As sad as it is that this great show got cancelled, I don't know that reviving it years after it went off the air would be the best idea...
