'Mad Men' Season 6 Bows In April; Look For Clues In These New Cast Photos

AMC's still playing coy with the return date for Breaking Bad's final season, even though star Aaron Paul seemingly let it slip earlier this month. But if they won't say when Walt and Jesse will be back on the screen, at least they've finally revealed when the hard-working men and women of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce will. The cable network has just announced a spring bow for Mad Men, which is entering its sixth (and second-to-last) season. More details after the jump.

Weiner is known for being intensely secretive about his series, and that hasn't changed in the past several months. The showrunner was reluctant to offer plot details in interviews, but he did confirm that Season 6 will start some time after the end of Season 5. How much time? "It's more than a week, I'll tell you that," he teased to EW.

Whatever happens in Season 6, though, what's certain is that the SCDP is nearing the end of its tale. Season 7 will be the show's last, although the network may yet decide to split up those 13 episodes as it did with Breaking Bad's fifth and final season. Weiner says he would be fine with that decision. "If they split it up, I will write it like [Breaking Bad showrunner Vince Gilligan] did," Weiner said. "I'm not against that."

Feel free to look for clues about the new seasons in the cast photos below, from TV Line. I've also included an old photo of Hamm posing with AMC colleague Bryan Cranston, just because it brings me joy every time I see it.
