Second Night Chronicles Film, 'Reincarnate' Shooting In 2013

Remember The Night Chronicles? That's the planned three-film series funded by Media Rights Capital and produced by M. Night Shyamalan that would chronicle the intersection of the supernatural and the modern world.

The first film in the loose series, Devil (yeah, the elevator movie) was released in fall 2010, and in June 2013 Shyamalan had announced 12 Strangers, the second planned film, but going on three years later it has yet to shoot. Now we know that the film, retitled Reincarnate, will roll in 2013.

Shyamalan tweeted:

The project has been using the title Reincarnate for a long time, but we don't know if that will be the release title. It is about a jury "discussing a case dealing with the supernatural." Last we knew, Chris Sparling (Buried, ATM) was set to write the script, with Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) meant to direct.

Shyamalan also once said that the story for the planned third Night Chronicles film would be based on an idea once meant to power a sequel to Unbreakable. At this rate, it'll be 2017 before that movie is out.

Here's the old Night Chronicles website. I can't be the only one who thinks the logo looks like the hands of a young boy grabbing at ghost boobs. Make THAT movie.
