Seth Rogen Producing, Possibly Starring In 'The B Team'

Seth Rogen is probably most recognized for the R-rated comedies he's starred in, many of them involving Judd Apatow. But he's actually got plenty of experience with family-friendly credits as well, lending his vocal talents to films like Horton Hears a Who! and the Kung Fu Panda films. Now, he's signed on to produce and possibly star in a new project that'll likely fall in the latter category, a Disney spy comedy called The B Team. More details after the jump. The B Team is just the latest addition to an already crowded slate for Rogen. After starring in five films this year (Green Hornet, Paul, Kung Fu Panda 2, Take This Waltz, and 50/50), he's got another three lined up for next year and another couple of projects in the works beyond that, including an R-rated comedy with Zac Efron.

But I wouldn't mind seeing him make room to star in The B Team as well. The premise sounds fun, if not exactly original — I've got my fingers crossed that the filmmakers will take inspiration from the delightful Simon Pegg / Jeremy Renner bits in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. And while I can't quite imagine Rogen as a James Bond-style secret agent, his geek persona would be a perfect fit for one of the tech guys.

Rogen's produced several of the projects he's starred in, starting with a co-producing credit on 2005's The 40-Year-Old Virgin. His next appearances will be in next year's My Mother's Curse, which he executive produced, and The Apocalypse, which he produced.
