Superhero Bits: Iron Man 3, Green Lantern, Dark Knight Rises, Man Of Steel, Joss Whedon
How can you be either on screen or behind the camera for Iron Man 3? What does Henry Cavill have to say about his costume in Man of Steel? Is someone to blame that we never saw George Miller's Justice League movie? Want to experience more of the New York Dark Knight Rises set? Read about all that and more in today's Superhero Bits.
Henry Cavill spoke to Jay Leno on The Tonight Show (via THR) about the new look of Man of Steel.Cavill also spoke to Collider about Immortals, of course, and Man of Steel. He actually dressed as Superman for Halloween this year, though I'm sure he didn't go Trick or Treating. Read more here.
Before George Miller directed Happy Feet Too, he was developing a huge Justice League movie in the mold of The Avengers. He spoke to Coming Soon a little about what happened:
Common and I were going to work on a 'Justice League' movie together. He was cast as Green Lantern and it was almost greenlit when it fell away. I fell in love with the guy and I called him up and said, 'You can't play the Green Lantern, but how about playing a penguin?' That was a whole bunch of complex events. It was the middle of a writers strike. There was Australian rebate legislation that was required to get the film going. It was just a whole complex series of events. It was no one particular's fault that it didn't happen.
Access Hollywood spoke to Amy Adams about her experience shooting Man of Steel and she basically goes off on how well-built Henry Cavill is.
Even though he's now making The Avengers and much more, Joss Whedon is still getting asked about his proposed Wonder Woman movie. In an interview with Rookie (via Vulture) he said the following. There's more at the link:
[She was ] a little bit like Angelina Jolie. She sort of traveled the world. She was very powerful and very naïve about people, and the fact that she was a goddess was how I eventually found my in to her humanity and vulnerability.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series is finally here. It premieres Friday and Comic Book Movie has a bunch of still images and clips from the premiere episode.
If you live in North Carolina and want to be in, or work on, Iron Man 3, now is the time. This is too cool. After yesterday's plethora of Dark Knight Rises videos, we've got a few extras today. This one from 5 Min (via CBM) shows Batman and Bane arriving to set and rehearsing their fight.
LiveDoor (via CBM) also has some cool photos from the set including this one which is obvious Photoshop fodder. Great close up images.
YouTube user FilmFreak237 (via Ain't It Cool News) went above and beyond to showcase the set of The Dark Knight Rises. Instead of just putting a bunch of single takes online, they edited a bunch of stuff together to provide a great glimpse at the experience.
