Superhero Bits: Man Of Steel, Red 2, Dark Knight Rises, Marvel, Amazing Spider-Man, Watchmen

What do the New York Comic Con exclusive Avengers t-shirts look like? Is there an update, and history lesson, to be told with the rights to Superman? Want to see some new photos from the set of Man of Steel? Where is The Dark Knight Rises filming this week? Is there a major problem at Marvel Comics? Do Batman and Solid Snake have something in common? Read about all of this and much more in today's Superhero Bits.

Marvel (via Comic Book Movie) apparently gave out a bunch of exclusive Avengers t-shirts at New York Comic Con themed to each member of The Avengers, including a specific symbol. That's Hawkeye above, click on the links for the rest of the team.Variety is reporting the long standing lawsuit about the rights to Superman is still going on and will continue. Speaking of which....Bleeding Cool got their hands on this image of the check that DC Comics gave to Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster for the rights to Superman. It's for $412 but if you look on the left, yes, Superman only cost $130 of that. Ouch.

In addition to the August 2013 release date for Red 2, Comic Book Movie found this small plot description:

The sequel to the action-comedy hit RED, which reunites our team of retired CIA operatives as they use their old-school style to take on a new set of enemies all across Europe.

We all know about Spider-Man's greatest villains, but who can forget The Wall? Apparently everyone. But Super Punch found a hilarious comic and video, above, of the non-Pink Floyd influenced character.

Movieline got some good stuff out of Rhys Ifans in regards to The Amazing Spider-Man. He talked about being excited for the publicity machine to start and the intimacy of Marc Webb's direction:

He works very quietly with actors, with loving attention to emotional detail. And for a film painted on such a wide canvas, you have to have that forensic-ness to counter the size — to keep kind of an emotional balance in the piece. Hopefully, I think that's what we've achieved. We'll see.

French artist Maxime Mary (via Geek Art and Geek Tyrant) is a real talent. He recently completed an internship with Disney and did not only the Batman photo above, but the Joker photo at the top of this article.

Slowly but surely, Green Lantern is pulling in green. Comic Book Movie points out the film made almost $5 million on its first three days on DVD.

Due to the amount of graphics and images included in Superhero Bits, we have to split this post over TWO pages. Click the link above to continue to the second page of Superhero Bits.

I feel like I've run something like this before but, in case I haven't, Topless Robot has ranked their 10 favorite episodes of the 1967 Spider-Man TV show. That's the #3 episode up there.

Alex Griendling (via Super Punch) designed this nearly studio quality Watchmen poster.Marvel is apparently firing employees and Comics Beat has an expose on the reason for the layoffs.

So, I guess, Batman is stealthier than Solid Snake according to this Geek Tyrant comic?

THE REMAINING TWO BITS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR MAN OF STEEL AND THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Sociallite Life and Coming Soon have posted some new set photos from Man of Steel. Not sure what's going on in these but that's definitely Henry Cavill with his shirt off flagging down a Coast Guard helicopter.

On Location Vacations (via Coming Soon) has published a bunch of information on where and when The Dark Knight Rises will be shooting in New York over the coming days. For example, they'll be on West 58th Street between 7th and 5th Ave on Friday, 10/28 for 6 AM to Midnight. Above is one of the images from inside the production offices and they also have details on a possible major fight scene between Batman and Bane, which you can read below:

In addition to this new location info, we also heard a few rumors about the big scene they'll be filming on Wall Street. There are expected to be more than 1000 extras used in the scene which will be set in a Gotham that has been taken over by Bane. After months of chaos the cops return and the "good guys" battle it out with the "bad guys" for the streets of Gotham. Tom Hardy and Christian Bale are both expected to be there in full costumes as Bane and Batman. Its also rumored that they will begin rehearsing for the shoot in a couple day at Riis Park.
