Speaking to CHFI radio station (via The Playlist) Hugh Jackman let it slip that James Mangold's The Wolverine will start shooting in October for a 2012 release. That's certainly exciting.

That hilarious drawing from I Love Charts speaks for itself. Though, I think we can all agree that Batman & Robin was worse than Batman Forever, screwing up the cowl symmetry.

Comic Book Movie was alerted to a growing Facebook group of fans who plan to march on San Diego Comic Con in protest of the DC Universe reboot. Here's their explanation:

Are you utterly baffled, disappointed and just ANGRY to see how DC ruins your favorite character's design and wipes decades of comic history out of the mainstream universe? Well, you're not alone! And why not make some noise at the biggest pop-culture event this year, where creators, artists and writers appear in person – show them how fans – the fans of the classic characters, the (nevertheless slightly changing) designs, the character's history and personality – really feel about it!

Obsessed with Film has a funny list of the 10 Marvel Characters We Don't Want In The Avengers 2. One of the entries is The Swordsman, pictured above.

The above video is pretty crappy but it's The Dark Knight Rises set, and you can sort of see Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway. So there's that. Thanks to The Daily Blam.

More info on The Dark Knight Rises shoot. Reports from several extras have revealed details on some new scenes. These aren't major plot points, or at least they don't seem to be, but they do reveal more than we already knew so they should be considered spoilers. Jump down to the photo of the pretty girl to avoid. First up is this report from Be In A Movie (via CBM):

On August 6, The Dark Knight Rises will be filming a scene in Pittsburgh involving a football game between the Gotham Rogues and the Rapid City Monuments and they need fans to cheer on these teams for the shot! Participants will get to be a part of the action which will include stunts, explosions and special effects. And even though this isn't a paid gig, everyone will get free food throughout the day and a chance to win great raffle prizes between takes!

Also, Comic Book Movie has a Twitter conversation that reveals extras have been being used for a massive party at Wayne Manor. Head there to read more.

Based on the comic book by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, Powers is coming to FX. But you probably already knew this. Jason Patric and Lucy Punch have been cast as the detectives who solve crimes about superheroes. This you might have known too. But now now T-Mobile babe Carly Foulkes (above) has been added as Retro Girl, one of the superheroes in the world and subject of the first episode.

MTV talked to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura about the possibility of a sequel to Red. It's looking good. Watch the interview above.

Rumors are circulating that Disney Imagineers have been working on a version of Iron Man 2's Stark Expo for either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. There's no real information, just a rumor from "sources" but that's still pretty cool.IMP Awards has this new banner for Cowboys & Aliens. Coming Soon has premiered the international poster for Captain America: The First Avenger. I like some of the domestic images better but it's great to see all the actors together.
