Danny Boyle's 'Frankenstein' Trailer

Danny Boyle's stage version of Frankenstein has been doing great business in London, and will soon have performances broadcast to cinema screens on March 17 and March 24. The play stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller, who switch between the roles of Doctor Frankenstein and the Monster each night. Here's a trailer for the production which is a bit editing heavy, as it overlays each man's performance over the other. But you can still see glimmers of what each actor offers in both roles. In addition, we've got a list of US theaters that will show the March 17 broadcast, after the break.

Conforming with the reviews we've read and heard of the production, Benedict Cumberbatch's work seems stronger, even in this very brief clip. But I want to give Johnny Lee Miller a chance, and I'd catch the production in a shot, given the chance.

The list of US theaters hosting the March 17 broadcast has been released along with this trailer. It's kind of a scattershot booking, really. I won't get to see the production, as the only Georgia house showing the broadcast is in Macon. (WTF? Great if you're in and around Macon, but still.) In fact, there are several major markets that won't get the broadcast. If you're in Chicago, for instance, the closest option seems to be South Bend, Indiana.

Here is the list of US theaters.
