Rumor: Lindsay Lohan Up For Role In Zack Snyder's 'Superman'

Gossip website TMZ is reporting that Lindsay Lohan is up for a major female role in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. According to the site, "Lindsay's people have had multiple phone conversations within the last few weeks with the people behind the new Superman reboot" and they're "supposed to meet personally with the Superman people soon." The role isn't Lois Lane, however, more than likely it's Ursa, a Kryptonian baddie that we now know is currently being cast.

And while this could very well be true, Lohan might have ruined her chances. She's about to be charged with felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace in Venice, CA. Read how that could affect any chance Lohan might have had at Superman after the jump.

To be honest, it's not crazy to think that Lohan's people talked to Snyder's camp about a role in Superman, as reported by TMZ. Lohan fits the physical profile of the actresses that are rumored to be up for the role of Ursa and, in her day, was a damn fine little actress. Plus, with her current reputation it almost makes sense to see her as a man-hating Kryptonian ice queen with a Superman death wish.

Unfortunately, with her latest criminal accusation, it's safe to say that the Superman people will probably stop returning calls and hope Lohan's camp gets the message once another actress is cast in the role. They don't want that kind of risk on their set or negative press associated with the film. Even if Warner Brothers and Snyder did want to cast her, with all of Lohan's widely publicized personal struggles with substance abuse, it would be probably cost a significant amount to insure her.

So even if this rumor is true, chances are that any window Lohan might have had to be up for the role is quickly closing thanks to her own actions. Do you think she could have pulled it off?
