Paul Giamatti Joining 'The Hangover Part II'

Briefly: We just saw the new trailer for Barney's Version, starring Paul Giamatti, and now there's word that he's going to fly to Thailand to join the cast of The Hangover Part II under the direction of Todd Phillips. Great news as far as I'm concerned, as Mr. Giamatti can be a low-key comic wonder. We don't have any information about what he might be playing in the film, but he can hold his own against whatever is thrown his way.

And that 'whatever' could come from the returning core cast of Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha, or new cast members like Jamie Chung and Liam Neeson. I hope we don't find out what Mr. Giamatti is doing in the film too early — there have been far too many details of this movie let loose as it is. [Deadline]
