REMINDER: /Film LA Meetup Planned - Saturday, June 5th (Featuring Guests Derrick Comedy, The Totally Rad Show, And Stephen Toblowsky)

[Update: A huge thanks to everyone who came to the meet up! All of us at /Film (including Stephen Tobolowsky), Derrick, and TRS, had a blast! It was an honor and a pleasure to meet so many of you, and we are so grateful to have you as members of our community.  Apologies for the confusion at the beginning of the evening; our group unexpectedly got so large (about 60 of you were in attendance...it was overwhelming, in the most excellent way) that we were ejected from our original space and had to move to the bowling alley next door, then rent out four bowling lanes to avoid getting kicked out of there too. The good news: Bowling was had by many! A big thanks to those who contributed to help defray the cost of this!

After the jump, a photo of the meetup, plus photos of Stephen Tobolowsky bowling (thanks to /Filmer Joey for sending them!).]

Do you like movies? Do you enjoy talking/arguing about them with like-minded individuals? Do you live in the Los Angeles area? Then boy do we have a meetup for you this weekend. Hit the jump for the details.

On Saturday June 5th from 8:30pm – 10:00pm, /Film editor-in-chief Peter Sciretta and I will both be hanging out inside/around Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City, CA. The exact address of the place is:

Jerry's Famous Deli

12655 Ventura Boulevard

Studio City, Ca 91604

A few more folks will also be hanging out with us, including actor Stephen Tobolowsky (host of /Film's own Toblowsky Files podcast), Dan Trachtenberg from the Totally Rad Show, and Dan Eckman (among others) from Derrick Comedy. All are welcome (especially our colleagues from other entertainment outlets), but even if NO ONE ELSE shows, I am already super psyched for this thing!

Feel free to stop by, say hi, chill, talk about movies, take a few photos, get a few autographs, etc., whatever it is that people do at these things! If the plan changes, this page will be updated, so feel free to bookmark it and check in again on Saturday.

Your best bet to make sure you don't miss the event is to follow Peter on Twitter or follow me on Twitter. (We will tweet updates if the event specifics change) If you are thinking of joining us, please feel free to e-mail me at slashfilmcast(at)gmail(dot)com or comment on this post so we can figure out how many people to expect. Hope to see you guys there!/Film meetup was insanely awesome. Began as a catastrophe, ended spectacularly. Thanks to all who came!!!Stephen bowlingStephen bowling (cont)
