Breaking Dawn Set For November 2011; Two-Film Split Still Undetermined
Because I know you're all hanging on this info: Summit has scheduled Breaking Dawn, the last film in The Twilight Saga, for release on November 18, 2011. For those keeping track, that's a year and a half after the release of Eclipse, the third film in the series, which makes Breaking Dawn the chapter that will have the longest production schedule since the series began.
Is that because it will be two films, rather than one? Summit still hasn't announced whether it will split the last book into two films, likely because there is a lot of contract work to be done with the cast. And if their reps are doing their jobs, chances are there's some hardball being played. But all sources say that Summit wants two films, and it's a safe bet that there will be two halves of Breaking Dawn on screens when all is said and done. But for now, we get at least some of the final book's pregnancy/birthing/vampire baby insanity just before Thanksgiving next year. [THR]
