TV Tidbits: Fourth Season May Be Heroes' Last, Entourage Movie To End Series, Fox Developing Werewolf Show Howl

In TV news tonight: It looks like Heroes may finally be put out of its misery come the end of its fourth season (which is currently airing). A source tells E! online, "Everyone is expecting this to be the last season. The cast, the crew, everyone." The news comes after Sendhil Ramamurthy was cast in an upcoming NBC pilot, Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.

Speaking of series endings, THR recently got to chat with Mark Walhberg, who revealed plans for Entourage's future. Walhberg mentioned that there are currently two seasons left for Entourage on television, but followed up with "We'll see, there could be more. But then, a movie." Honestly, if they want to do a film, they shouldn't wear out their welcome by dragging the series out on television.

Finally, we've learned that Fox is developing a new werewolf series, Howl. The series is being written by Joshua Miller and M.A. Fortin, and is apparently "an epic family saga about warring families of werewolves in a small Alaskan town." Miller says the script reflects the changing times in America today, and that ""metamorphosis and constant change is the basis of werewolf mythology... [Howl is about] the psychology of living with change."

Combined with the upcoming Being Human remake, and MTV's Teen Wolf remake that it's in development right now, it looks like we're getting a bit of a werewolf renaissance on U.S. television. If they're any good is another question entirely.
