Transformers 2: Kevin Dunn Returns, Isabel Lucas At Frat Party, And More
It has been a few days since our last Transformers 2 Update. On Wednesday, filming continued at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where both Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and that Chevy Beat concept car (not pictured) were spotted in alt mode. [tflive]
The crew has been busy shooting scenes at UPENN, which will double as Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) college. Kendall Whitehouse has more photos of them setting up on Flickr. Kevin Dunn, who plays Sam Witwicky's father Ron was spotted by fadedsilverscreen with a visitor sticker on his chest. This is the first confirmation that he is featured in the sequel. Julie White who played Sam's mother Judy Witwicky in the original film, was no where in sight.
A banner outside University of Pennsylvania's fraternity Psi Upsilon (known as "The Castle") advertises a frat party, which was filmed later that night.
One extra describes a scene that was shot to TFLive:
"Shia was sitting on a old wooden chair when this girl in a green short dress (who I thought was an extra) was dancing in front of him and kept leaning into him. That's it for the scene I was in but there is a lot more to it."
The girl in the green dress is actually Isabel Lucas, who is playing Sam's college friend (or maybe more?) named Alice.
A sequence involving Bumblebee racing down the street doing peel outs and 180's was also filmed on 32nd and Chestnut. Jszack caught some of it on camera.
Later that night they filmed a scene where Isabel Lucas storms away from Bumblebee (in alt mode) after saying something to Sam through the passenger's side window, leaving Shia LaBoeuf to talk to (or possibly yell at?) the car. Not exactly sure how this fits into the scene, but they were squirting this glowing green goo on Lucas. Thanks to zacklur for the photos. And yes, that is Michael Bay directing Shia and Isabel in the photo below.
