New Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Trailer - What Do You Think?
Many of you probably saw the new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in front of Iron Man, judging from Tony Stark's boffo weekend numbers, and now it's online. The coolest reveal here is that the plot's plush Amazonian temple is said to be guarded by the undead, so on top of the rumored alien subplot, it appears Indy IV will be fencing off with that ambiguous X Files sequel for air conditioned supernatural kicks.
We also gleam Shia LaBeouf's Mutt Williams pulling a young biker Brando, Ford finally looking comfortable and in grizzled top form, an atomic-age countdown, and lots of nicely edited explosions and action. And as Peter and I have discussed, nobody has any idea how this blockbuster's story will play and pan out, which is aces. With the exception of too much Boratian camp in Cate Blanchett's accent, yes, I'd say this trailer kicks ass. Eighteen days and counting, that's a welcome relief, as George Lucas's constant meh'ing was sucking up my anticipation like a soggy strawberry at the bottom of a colossal daiquiri.
