Was Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows LEAKED Onto The Internet? NOPE
Was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows LEAKED onto the Internet? I have found a 281 page e-book which claims to be the beginning of J.K. Rowling's final book in the Harry Potter saga has shown up on an internet website ebookscottage.com. I have read most of the Potter books but am unable to confirm if this internet release is real or fake. I find it very odd that anyone would write 281 pages about Harry Potter just to fool a bunch of people. I'm hoping someone, possibly a Harry Potter fan, can confirm or deny the authentic of this possible leak.
UPDATE: It turns out that the 281 pages are part of a fan created fictional work. Thanks to the slashfilm.com readers for some nice detective work. It still amazes me that a fan would spend THAT MUCH time on a piece of fan fiction.
The official US edition is 784 pages in length. So if real, this leaked portion could be the first third of the book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits store shelves on July 21st 2007.
