James Cameron Has Found Jesus Christ, Literally
Titanic and Terminator director James Cameron has found Jesus Christ. And his son, we're not kidding.
The director claims that he has scientific proof that Jesus Christ was never resurrected. At a New York press conference on Monday, Cameron will reveal three coffins, supposedly those of Jesus of Nazareth, his mother Mary and Mary Magdalene. While filming his new documentary with Simcha Jacobovici, they supposedly discovered the burial cave where Jesus and his family were buried near Jerusalem. And get this, Jesus was a father.
According to Time Magazine:
They found 10 ossuaries bearing inscriptions. Some were in ancient Greek and some were in Hebrew. One inscription said "Jesus, son of Joseph", another said "Mara", a common form of Mary, and another said "Yose", a common form of Joseph.
But filmmakers claim to have "amassed evidence through DNA tests, archeological evidence and Biblical studies, that the 10 coffins belong to Jesus and his family." They tested human material at a DNA testing facility in a New York.
"Tests prove the names are genetically of the same family and statistically, there is a one in 10 million chance this is a family other than the Holy Family," the pre-publication publicity for the book and documentary claims.
The Telegraph says:
Although the cave was discovered almost 30 years ago and the casket inscriptions decoded ten years ago, the filmmakers are the first to establish that the cave was in fact the burial site of Jesus and his family.
Although there are already a number of disbelievers trying to disprove this latest claim. Prof Amos Kloner is saying that there was no way the tomb housed the family of Jesus.
"It is just not possible that a family who came from Galilee, as the New Testament tells us of Joseph and Mary, would be buried over several generations in [Occupied] Jerusalem."
If this new claim can be proven, it could be a huge blow to the Catholic church. Jesus' supposed resurrection is "the cornerstone of Christian faith."
The Lost Tomb of Jesus will soon air on Discovery Channel (March 4th), Britain's Channel 4, Canada's Vision, and Israel's Channel 8. The press will get a first look at the press conference on Monday.Read More:
