Hey, did you hear the one about the ugly sex addict who can’t get laid? Of course you didn’t. We’ve got plenty of films and stories about sex addicts, with star-quality guys in the lead roles. (See: Sam Rockwell in Choke; Michael Fassbender in Shame; David Duchovny in Californication.) Now, in Zipper, Patrick Wilson plays a politician who can’t quit his escort habit, even when it threatens to derail his family and career.
Wilson’s co-stars include Lena Headey, Richard Dreyfuss, and Ray Winstone, and that trio may be enough to demand a viewing. Check out the Zipper trailer below.
Zipper originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and it will be on VOD and in limited release beginning on August 28. Trailer via Apple.
