First Look: Alexander Skarsgård Flips The Bird In 'War On Everyone'

Writer/director John Michael McDonagh is following up Cavalry with a new movie called War on Everyone, featuring Michael Peña and Alexander Skarsgård in the lead roles. They play "two corrupt cops in New Mexico who set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path." Now the first image is out for the film, and while McDonagh's name should be enough to raise your interest, seeing Skarsgård flip us the bird in this War on Everyone image might help.

war-on-everyoneScreenDaily has the image, and this full info:

Michael Peña (Fury), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) and Theo James (Divergent) are starring in the story of two corrupt cops who set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path...until they intimidate someone who is seemingly more dangerous than they are. Or is he?

With Peña and Skarsgård in the lead roles, does that make Theo James the "seemingly more dangerous" guy? Probably so.

The film is shooting now in New Mexico, with a supporting cast that includes Tessa Thompson (Dear White People), Caleb Landry Jones (Antiviral), Paul Reiser (Whiplash), Stephanie Sigman (Miss Bala, Spectre) and David Wilmot (Calvary). With Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions handling some distribution, we can probably expect Sony Classics to put the film in theaters in the US. We don't know when that will happen, but expect a festival debut, maybe at TIFF or Venice, but more likely at Sundance next year.
