Grace and Frankie may not inspire the breathless hype of a Daredevil or even the giddy nostalgia of a Fuller House, but it’s got plenty of charms of its own — starting with its two lovely leads, Jane Fonda as WASP-y Grace and Lily Tomlin as granola Frankie. The first season saw these polar opposites form an unlikely bond after their husbands (played by Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen) announced they were leaving their wives for each other, and the second season sees their friendship tested and further tempered by health scares, new romances, and more. Watch the Grace and Frankie season 2 trailer below. Read More »

Kristen Stewart may have become a household name on the strength of one of the biggest studio franchises in recent memory, but since Twilight wrapped up in 2012 she’s established herself as an indie darling. Earlier this year she garnered tons of buzz for her turns in Still Alice and Clouds of Sils Maria, and next year she’ll be back with four or five more titles including Tim Blake Nelson‘s Anesthesia.
The ensemble drama, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, hinges on a violent attack against a well liked professor (played by Sam Waterston). The film jumps back a week to explain how the incident came to back, focusing on a seemingly disparate cast of characters played by Nelson, Stewart, Glenn Close, Corey Stoll, Gretchen Mol, Michael K. Williams, and more. Watch the Anesthesia trailer after the jump. Read More »

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Aaron Sorkin returns to television with The Newsroom, and this first trailer makes the show out to be so very Aaron Sorkin. For fans of The West Wing and Sports Night, that’s probably all you need to hear.
For those who aren’t predisposed to love Sorkin’s work, here’s the attraction in The Newsroom: Jeff Daniels, playing a big-time, buttoned-up news anchor who finally lets his real personality fly, and then has to deal with the career fallout that results. There are a few potential red flags in this trailer: Sorkin’s near-trademark treatment of women; the possibility that the main figure is a political mouthpiece in search of a character; and a reliance once more on Sorkin’s classic “one man fighting the good fight” approach.
But good lord, Jeff Daniels just looks great. He’s an actor that is often dismissed, I think, and the brief couple minutes of this trailer may be enough to change that for many people. Read More »
