In commercials, trailers, and sizzle reels, it feels like we’ve already seen 10 or 15 minutes of Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But the sequel, which opens May 2, is jam-packed with characters and a new international trailer yet again proves we ain’t seen nothing yet. It runs three minutes and features a very good portion of new footage, most of which focuses on Jamie Foxx‘s Electro, a primary figure in the story who’s been an afterthought in much of the more recent promotions. Sony has not skimped on the footage in their marketing campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and today they’ve got still more to share. A third full length look at Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has just hit the net. Compared to the four minute Super Bowl spot, it’s a little lacking, but there is some new dialogue and footage from the film, exuding a tone that’s at first light and fun, followed by menacing and stressful. With the film opening May 2, I doubt we’ll be seeing a lot more than what we’ve already seen, but if you are excited for the film, this trailer is worth a watch. Check it out below. Read More »

Between all the trailers, TV spots, images, viral sites, and Times Square drop-ins, you’d think we knew everything there was to know about Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But there are still a few secrets that Marc Webb has managed to hold onto during that marketing blitz, and one of them is whom exactly B.J. Novak would be playing.
Or at least, one of them was. The director has finally gotten around to revealing the identity of Novak’s character, about ten months after he initially revealed the casting. Hit the jump to find out just how The Office‘s Fire Guy will fit in.

As revelers crowded into New York City’s Times Square last night to ring in the New Year, Electro (Jamie Foxx) was dropping by the iconic intersection for a different, far more nefarious reason.
In a new clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that debuted at last night’s festivities, the supervillain makes a pit stop in midtown Manhattan to soak up some of its electricity and to release some of his fury.
