Star Wars The Force Awakens Fan Trailers

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is almost upon us. This Friday morning the trailer for JJ Abrams‘ new Star Wars movie will be shown in select theaters across the nation. But thats still a few days away. What to do until then? How about watching these two Star Wars: The Force Awakens fan trailers. Both of the trailers are very well edited and sent to me this week. You can tell that a lot of work and after effects manipulation went into both of these trailers. Watch the Star Wars The Force Awakens fan trailers embedded after the jump.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Fan Trailers

This first Star Wars: The Force Awakens fan trailer claims to be an official international teaser trailer, but don’t be fooled by the clever editing and video manipulation (Hamill bearded in Jedi robe, but how?). Its also interesting that they took some of the notes from the leaked teaser trailer reports and incorporated them into this edit:

That trailer comes via EmergancyAwesome. The second Star Wars: The Force Awakens fan trailer comes from Austen Saltz, who mashed-up footage from a variety of movies to create a passable looking teaser trailer:

And here is a list of sources he used to create the fan trailer:

  • Ender’s Game (2013)
  • Gladiator (Audio Only, 2000)
  • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Audio Only, 2008)
  • Star Trek: Nemesis (Audio Only, 2002)
  • Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)
  • Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)
  • Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005)
  • Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
  • Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
  • Star Wars: The Old Republic (Video Game, 2011)
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (Video Game, 2010)
