Investigation of a centuries-old viking ship fuels the desire for discovery, and may lead to an encounter with ancient forces in the Norwegian film Ragnarok. Pål Sverre Hagen, from the Oscar-nominated Kon Tiki stars as an archaeologist whose interest in the Oseberg Viking ship may lead to an all-too personal brush with the legendary end of days, and Mikkel Sandemose directs. Ragnarok opens in October in Norway. Magnolia has the US rights, and will presumably have the film on VOD and a limited theatrical booking later this year.

Archeologist Sigurd Svendsen (Pål Sverre Hagen) has for years been obsessed with the Oseberg Viking ship. The only inscription found on the ship is the enigmatic ´man knows little` written in runes. Sigurd is sure that the Oseberg ship contains the answer to the mystery of Ragnarok, the end of days in Norse mythology.
