Producers Guild Nominations Preface Oscar Choices; 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Snubbed

The Producers Guild of America nominations each year are a good indicator of where the Best Picture Oscar might go, and so with the release of this year's nominations we can see that films like American Hustle, Gravity, Her, and The Wolf of Wall Street are pretty much locked for Oscar nominations. There were a few surprises in this crop of nominations, too, such as the inclusion of Blue Jasmine and Dallas Buyer's Club.

And there's a big set of snubs, too, as Inside Llewyn Davis missed out on a nomination, as did the full slate of films from The Weinstein Company (The Butler, August: Osage County, Fruitvale Station, Mandela: The Long Walk Home, Philomena). Fruitvale Station will get the Stanley Kramer award from the PGA.

See the full slate of feature nominees, along with the early picks for animation and television, below.

The 2014 PGA Awards will be announced on January 19 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The PGA will also award special honors to Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson (David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures), Robert Iger (Milestone Award), Peter Jackson & Joe Letteri (Vanguard Award), Chuck Lorre (Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television), Illumination Entertainment animation czar Chris Meledandri (Visionary Award) and Ryan Cooger's Fruitvale Station (Stanley Kramer Award). The Producers Guild Awards Co-Chairs are Lori McCreary and Michael De Luca.
