Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz are both going back to raunchy comedy under director Jake Kasdan. In Sex Tape, the couple make exactly what the title suggests. But it’s a heat of the moment thing, and in the morning they try to delete the video (recorded on an iPad) only to find that it has been uploaded to the cloud, and shared with all their friends and family. Maybe worry less here about the precise “how” of that process, and just focus on the fact that this is a weird R-rated comedy where product placement and tech paranoia collide like, well, a couple having sex.
And if you’ve wondered just what goes on in the sex tape the couple makes, this new Sex Tape red-band trailer gives up some details. (Spoiler: their checklist is ‘The Joy of Sex.’)
Sex Tape opens on July 18. Trailer via MTV.
A married couple wake up to discover that the sex tape they made the evening before has gone missing, leading to a frantic search for its whereabouts.
