Here’s a new poster for Greg Mottola‘s new film Paul, which was written by and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The two play geeks on a post Comic Con road trip who encounter an actual alien, voiced by Seth Rogen, and then have to deal with a variety of oddball characters including a couple of Feds played by Jason Bateman and Bill Hader.
Once the film is released someone might want to make a catalog of all the geek t-shirts sported by the two characters in the film. We’ve seen Simon Pegg in cool Empire Strikes Back and Eightball shirts in other images, and Nick Frost in the Ming the Merciless tee seen here.
Click the poster below to enlarge, and check out the trailer if you missed it. Finally, here’s the synopsis once more. Paul co-stars Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Wiig, Blythe Danner, Joe Lo Truglio and Jeffrey Tambor. It hits theaters on March 18th 2011.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.
