New 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Trailer Has More Rocket Raccoon Footage

Guardians of the Galaxy opens in just six weeks, so this is the point where Marvel really has to start the full-court press. The first two trailers, a couple of TV commercials, and those character videos have all started to introduce the strange team of characters. Now a new Guardians of the Galaxy international trailer gives some more detail to that crew: a thief, two thugs, a murderer, and a maniac, as Glenn Close says in this new footage.

(Chris Pratt's character ran down the same roster, with one slight difference, in the last trailer. I'll let you figure out the alteration here.)

This trailer also contains some new Rocket footage, and a good bit of input from Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).

Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1. Trailer via E! Online.

Written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
