Marvel Studios and Paramount will be unleashing Thor upon the world in just under two months — the film opens on May 6 — and we could well see another chunk or two of the film released to the public before opening day. In the meantime, check out the French trailer for the film, which offers a couple of very slight new visions that didn’t make it into the last couple domestic trailers.

Most of the footage from the last US theatrical trailer is included here, although this particular edit doesn’t emphasize the Earth-level perspective on the story. Instead it gives a general overview, showing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) being cast out of Asgard, found on Earth by Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings and then caught up in two major battles. I’m more and more interested in the film, as the fantasy/sci-fi blend looks very much like old-school Marvel.

And Odin (Anthony Hopkins) sounds pretty great dubbed into French, I have to say.
