It makes a certain sort of sense that Japan would get the best trailer yet for The Avengers — I say that because the film feels to me like one of the live-action adaptations of old animated properties that we see come out of Japan on a fairly regular basis. This trailer seems designed to play to the same audience for those movies, as it offers the first great look at the SHIELD mobile base (aka the Helicarrier) and really shows off the film’s alien/otherworldly attackers.
