Here’s the Japanese teaser trailer for The Bourne Legacy, in which previous Bourne series writer Tony Gilroy directs Jeremy Renner in a film that expands the fictional world of the Bourne films. Renner isn’t the successor to Matt Damon exactly; rather, he’s a parallel character in the same world. Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz are featured in addition to Renner.
While there isn’t too much new footage here, there is just enough to be worth a look, especially as we were pretty impressed with the US teaser.
The Bourne Legacy hits theaters on August 3. It also stars Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac.
