After a delay and some production issuesJonathan Nolan, J.J. Abrams, and Lisa Joy‘s reimagining of Michael Crichton‘s 1973 film Westworld is finally coming to HBO. The show was originally scheduled to arrive in 2015, but Nolan and all involved were allotted more time to get the show back on track. The latest trailer for the series — which is part western, part science-fiction — promised an ambitious, large-scale production.

If you still want to see more from the show, then check out some new Westworld images below.

Westworld is set in a western theme park filled with artificial intelligence (called “hosts”). In this park, the robots play their archetypal roles for park guests, but soon they begin to question things, seemingly becoming more human. The show has a huge and impressive ensemble cast, which includes Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Barnes, Clifton Collins, Jr., and more.

You can see a few of them in these Westworld photos released by TV Line, where you can find even more photos from season one of the series.

Set at “the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past,” executive producer and writer Lisa Joy recently said the dystopian show will explore the question of, “Where does consciousness begin and end?” Two decades ago, Abrams wanted to pose that same question in a film adaptation. He discussed a remake with Crichton, but the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director couldn’t crack the story. Years later, Abrams ultimately realized Westworld is a television show, not a movie.

Here’s the official synopsis:
