The Force Awakens sweded trailer

There’s been all sorts of new versions of the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens lately. Someone took footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and matched it with the score, while another more cruel fan inserted Jar Jar Binks into nearly every single shot. Meanwhile, there’s also a version for those who just can’t wait to see Luke Skywalker.

And now we have a Star Wars: The Force Awakens sweded trailer, using all sorts of cheap homemade goodies to remake the trailer shot for shot. However, this isn’t the most recent final trailer for the film, but rather the second teaser trailer.

Here’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens sweded trailer from Cinefix:

If you’re wondering why this isn’t a sweded version of the final trailer, keep in mind that it’s only been two weeks since that trailer debuted. While these sweded/homemade trailers are made with everyday materials and shot extremely cheaply, some of the crafty work employed can still be time consuming.

However, this video just came out a little under two weeks ago, and that second teaser has been out since April. So while these videos take time to make, I don’t think it took that long to complete it, but they probably waited to release it to capitalize on the popularity of people searching for The Force Awakens trailer online. So who knows how long it will be before a homemade version of the final trailer makes it online.

In the meantime, you can take a look at the making of the sweded Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer here:

And for those who really want to see how good of a job they did, you can check out a side-by-side comparison of the original trailer and the remake right here. Though if you’re like me, you probably don’t need it since every single image from all of these trailers is ingrained in my head forever.
