'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon' Moved To June

Deadline has learned that Paramount Pictures is moving up the release date of Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon from Friday July 1st 2011 to Wednesday June 29th 2011. This new move gives the threequel more room from Horrible Bosses and Zookeeper, which open on July 8th and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which opens on July 15th. Paramount is also showing confidence in the film, as Bad Teacher and Cars 2 open five days earlier.

This is kind of expected news as Paramount has a history of doing this with the franchise. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was moved from Friday June 26th 2009 to Wednesday June 24th 2009 and the release date of Transformers was moved from July 4th 2007, to on day earlier – July 3rd 2007 a handful of weeks before release.
