Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is officially available on home video in all formats, you just knew that we were going to get an Honest Trailer for the sci-fi sequel that has kicked off not just a new trilogy, but also a whole new generation of Star Wars. What’s cool is that this Honest Trailer does something a little different as a way to emulate the fact that The Force Awakens shares pays a lot of homage to A New Hope and the rest of the original trilogy.

That’s right, ScreenJunkies has brought back their old voiceover guy to match to keep the current voiceover guy’s hype in check. For everything the new voiceover guy loves, there’s something that the old voiceover guy points out that he didn’t care for too much. It’s a pretty clever way to make this Honest Trailer a little more fun than usual.
Most of the jabs come from the fact that there are so many similarities between The Force Awakens and A New Hope. But there’s also some more clever observations, like the fact that we’re trusting J.J. Abrams, the guy who posed a lot of big questions in the TV series Lost, only to have them get some unsatisfying answers. Of course, Abrams can’t entirely be blamed for Lost, so that point can only go so far. Surely we’re going to get answers to a lot of the unanswered questions in The Force Awakens, right?
