At San Diego Comic Con International 2015, Zack Snyder revealed a second full-length trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. As you probably know, Zack Snyder has a long history with Comic Con, and has always brought the goods to the convention.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been on the stage in San Diego for three years now: In 2013, Snyder invited Harry Lennix on stage to read a passage from the story which inspired Snyder’s next Superman film. The passage was from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns and elicited one of loudest crowd reactions in Hall H history. Last year Snyder returned with a reveal of Wonder Woman and a brief clip of Batman in his armored suit looking up in the rain at Superman floating above him which captured the buzz of last year’s convention.
Both of those were included on my list of the greatest moments in Comic Con history. So did Snyder top the two previous appearances on the Hall H stage? Watch the new Comic Con Batman v Superman trailer after the jump, and check out a new poster as well.

Comic-Con is nearly upon us, and you can bet Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are going to bring out the big guns when they show off Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in San Diego. Before that, the studio has released some new photos from the movie to hold fans over until the good stuff arrives next week.
The new photos from the first big-screen battle between The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel show us plenty of new stuff, including Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, but with a healthy mane of hair; a shot of Batman in his steel suit with the bat signal; Superman (Henry Cavill) being worshiped by a crowd; and a couple shots of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, one of which also has Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. Check out the new Batman v Superman photos below!
Update: High-res versions of these photos have been released; you can see those below.

After the release of Man of Steel, some fans griped about the massive amount of seemingly careless destruction in the finale when Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) zoom around Metropolis, smashing into skyscraper after skyscraper. And this is all after the world engine has already done plenty of damage to the city as well.
Last winter we found out that those complaints would be addressed in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the level of destruction would actually be a major element in how the rest of the world views Superman, and more specifically, how Bruce Wayne views the new godlike hero. And because of that, Zack Snyder has defended the ending to those complains, and Ben Affleck has added another detail that fuels the fire between Batman and Superman.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel established the new vision of Superman that will play a big role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While the upcoming film grew out of plans for a Man of Steel sequel, it sounds like the idea of bringing Batman back to the screen as an opponent for this modernized Superman came about pretty early on.
In an interview accompanying the reveal of new stills from the March 2016 release, Snyder explains his pitch for a Batman easter egg at the end of Man of Steel as the seed that grew into Batman v Superman. Read More »
“We’re on track to deliver a slate of films that will delight audiences everywhere thanks to the efforts of the many exceptionally talented people invested in the success of this universe.”
That’s Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Bros., talking about the studio’s upcoming slate of DC movies. It’s not only the obvious studio sentiment, it’s what fans all over the world want to believe. They hope one of the biggest, most powerful movie studios, controlling some of the most beloved characters, is going to treat them right in a way we can all treasure.
While that statement very well might end up being true when the films hit the theaters, at the moment, it’s a bit more difficult to believe. The Hollywood Reporter has a fascinating and scathing report on the construction of the DC Cinematic Universe. It cites numerous examples that no one knows exactly how this is all going to come together. One example? Five writers were hired to write competing versions of Wonder Woman. Three writers were hired to do that for Aquaman, and more. Read more about the upcoming DC movies below. Read More »
Seems like everyone has a strong opinion about Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel, and technology allows some to express them more vividly than others. The film’s color palette, seemingly crafted to make the film sit alongside Christopher Nolan’s Batman films while also creating a more “modern” Superman, doesn’t sit well with some fans who want a sunnier man of steel. One group has gone so far as to re-color the movie with a bright color palette more in keeping with Richard Donner’s 1978 film. Check out the video essay that presents Man of Steel in color. Last week was a weird one for Zack Snyder and his film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film’s first trailer was briefly teased on Instagram, then released online in low-quality bootleg form, forcing Warner Bros. to officially release the trailer days in advance of its planned theatrical IMAX debut. (That’s still happening tonight.) But that’s all out there now, so we’ll just move forward. Now you can get a look at the primary Batman v Superman costumes thanks to a video featuring NBA star DeAndre Jordan checking out a Warner Bros. exhibit of the suits and new Batmobile.
UPDATE: B-Roll footage has now been put online with a much more detailed look at the costumes. Read More »
