Unfinished Business Super Bowl spot

There are all-ages and adults-only versions of the new Unfinished Business Super Bowl spot, which shows off the comedy from Ken Scott, starring Vince Vaughn, Tom Wilkinson, and Dave Franco as a trio of unlikely colleagues who head to Europe in order to make a big business deal. Unfortunately, they run across a few of Vaughn’s old colleagues, played by Sienna Miller, James Marsden, and Nick Frost, who are trying to make the same deal. There’s a lot of drinking and shenanigans as everyone embarrasses themselves en route to success and/or failure. And this time it’s all cut to The Lonely Island’s track ‘Like a Boss.’ Read More »

Unfinished Business trailer

In Unfinished Business, formerly called Business Trip, Vince Vaughn is a guy who starts his own small upstart company after being forced out of a big outfit, only to find himself competing directly against his former colleagues for a big contract.  All he’s got on his side is an aging associate (Tom Wilkinson), a too-green newbie (Dave Franco) and a willingness to do anything to win the contract. Ken Scott (Starbuck) directs, and Sienna Miller, James Marsden, and Nick Frost also show up. Now you can see a red-band Unfinished Business trailer — one which certainly doesn’t skimp on vulgarity — and a work-safe green band version, too.  Read More »

We just saw a new poster for The Grand Budapest Hotel, from Wes Anderson, and that image featured portraits of the individuals in the huge ensemble cast. Now there’s a new trailer, and it is all about introducing the characters played by the whole bunch.

Along the way, we get a better outline of how the film fits together, starting from the point where F. Murray Abraham, seemingly as an older version of the young Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), narrates his story to the young writer played by Jude Law. There’s so much here: Harvey Keitel’s prison tattoos, Jeff Goldblum channeling J.K. Simmons’ character from Burn After Reading, and Tilda Swinton swaddled in old-age makeup, for starters.

It looks like a screwy comedy, with everyone having a hell of a time, but there are shadows of more serious events here, too. And, for everything that’s in this trailer, it doesn’t seem to give too much away. Read More »

Cool Posts From Around the Web:

The Lone Ranger

In conjunction with yesterday’s new domestic trailer for Gore Verbinski‘s The Lone Ranger, a new international trailer has also hit the web. While this one gets into the plot a little bit — Tonto’s (Johnny Depp) reaction to meeting the Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer) is a highlight — its focus is really on the action. The obviously expensive, hilariously absurd, and utterly awesome action. Hit the jump to check it out.

For The Lone Ranger, Disney is working with tactics that are almost exactly opposite to what Warner Bros. did with its own new Johnny Depp vehicle, Dark Shadows. Casting on the long-gestating adaptation of Orson Scott Card‘s sci-fi YA novel Ender’s Game has been falling into place over the past month, with Asa Butterfield (Hugo) signed on for the lead role and Hailee Steinfeld and Ben Kingsley in talks to join as well. Now Canadian teen star Brendan Meyer has boarded the project in the role of Stilson, a classmate who bullies Ender. Meyer is best known for his lead role in the Canadian series Mr. Young, which follows a child prodigy who graduates college at 14 and returns to his high school as a science teacher.

Gavin Hood will direct the film from his own script, about a gifted boy who is drafted into a special military program that trains children to fight against an alien species called the Formics. Ender’s Game will begin shooting early next year for a March 2013 release. [The Hollywood Reporter]
