The marketing is starting to kick into gear for Steven Spielberg‘s adaptation of the book War Horse. Until recently we’d seen only one teaser trailer, but the poster arrived not long ago, and now there is a full UK trailer that shows more of the character of the film. This trailer relies far less upon the monologue from Niels Arestrup than did the first trailer, and it rings with a simple cry: “be brave!” Check it out below. Read More »

The Clash of the Titans sequel, which has been referred to as Wrath of the Titans but a press release today calls Clash of the Titans 2, started shooting this week under the direction of Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles). Sam Worthington returns to star as Perseus, but it looks like Gemma Arterton‘s commitment to Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters means she definitely won’t be in the film, as her name is MIA from the release. We’ve now got a pretty full cast line-up, and a full plot for the film, after the break. Read More »

Mo Ramchandani directs and wrote the script about “a Mexican teenager called Jesus who, after the death of his mother, is sold by his father and smuggled into America, where he’s forced to work as a bonded slave labourer in a Los Angeles sweatshop.” There he befriends a young woman who is soon sold into sexual slavery, leading Jesus to attempt to rescue her. Both Brosnans will play cops. [The Wrap]
After the break, new roles for Toby Kebbell, Lukas Haas and Walton Goggins. Read More »

In August of last year, we heard that Robert Redford was going to, in some measure, beat Steven Spielberg to the punch with a film about Lincoln. But Redford’s film, The Conspirator, isn’t quite about Lincoln himself — it is about Mary Surratt (Robin Wright), one of the accused members of a conspiracy to assassinate the President and, in the wake of the case, the first woman executed by the US government.
The film was shot last fall in Savannah, GA, and Redford is now talking about the picture, giving us some more information, and a few photos. Read More »
